Hi I’m Brody Appotive, I’m a 3L student here at Queen’s. This is my third year doing Pro Bono Radio, and this year I will be the Project Lead. Pro Bono Radio is a weekly radio broadcast at CFRC 101.9, which is a campus radio station. Every week, groups of three law students will get together, they’ll pick a legal theme, they’ll do some research on it, and they’ll perform a unique and entertaining radio broadcast that goes out to the Queen’s and greater Kingston community. Hi, my name is Alex Hood. I’ve been with Pro Bono Radio for three years at this point, and I believe it’s an important project for two reasons. One, it improves access to justice, and two, it entertains which is one of the most powerful ways to educate. One of the great things about Pro Bono Radio is that so we have representation from all years here at Queen’s law. So in 3L we have six students, in 2L we have six students, and this year in 1L, because of the high demand for our radio podcast, we have nine students. So we’re a group of about what is that? 21? 21 students here at Queen’s so it’s gonna be a great year. You can check us out on our website at www.probonoradio.com or on the radio every Thursday at 11:30, CFRC 101.9 And remember, we are not lawyers and this is not legal advice.
